Plans to change a flat in a Grade II building into a house in multiple occupation (HMO) have been submitted.
The top storey flat in Waterloo Street, Brighton could become a shared home if plans are approved by Brighton and Hove City Council.
According to the plans, no physical changes to the structure or façade will be needed.
The entrance and layout of the building internally and externally will also remain the same.

BeforeBricks Limited, on behalf of the current flat owner proposing this change of use, said: "The current design and access arrangements are fully compatible with the proposed change of use and do not compromise the architectural or historic value of the property.
"The entrance to the flat, situated on the ground floor, will remain as is, ensuring that the usability and accessibility of the building are preserved without necessitating physical alterations.
"This approach aligns with the overarching strategy to maintain the existing character and functionality of the building while accommodating a change in use that is sensitive to the heritage context."
A final decision is set to be made by July 8.
