A seafront water play feature has reopened in time for summer.

The Splash Pad in Beach House Grounds, Worthing, has now been switched back on ahead of the warmer weather to keep people cool.

Worthing Borough Council announced the reopening of the attraction on Friday.

A spokesman for the council said: "Our popular attraction Splash Pad is now up and running on Worthing seafront.

"Although it might still not be feeling like spring outside, our teams have been preparing the wet-play facility following its winter shutdown to ensure it's ready to host some fun when the warmer weather finally arrives.

"The attraction will automatically run for a short period of time in the mornings and afternoons to prevent the system from sitting still for too long.

"We hope you’ll find some time to enjoy Splash Pad over the coming months."

The water play area closes over the winter when it is not in use. It is free for the public to use.
