The design layout shows two flats on each floor/ Those on the ground floor would have a private garden space.

The first-floor flats would have a terrace and the loft-space homes would have balconies.

There are plans for ten parking spaces, electric vehicle charging points and cycle storage.

Halo Architects, on behalf of the developer, said: "The site provides the opportunity to introduce additional housing in a well-established residential area to maximise the potential and make best use of the land.

"This proposal would make the best and most efficient use of the site whilst balancing its impact with the local environment and has been redesigned to be consistent with the character and appearance of the surrounding residential area."

A decision is due by June 5.
