Chris Hughton thought Albion were “very good at times” as they beat Birmingham City today.

But he would love to have made it more comfortable.

Solly March and Bobby Zamora were on target in a 2-1 success over Hughton’s former club.

But the boss felt they should have been ahead even before the latter’s 47th-minute clincher.

Hughton told theargus.co.uk: “It was certainly an entertaining game and Birmingham absolutely played their part in that.

“They showed what a good team they are this season and why they are very strong away from home.

“They have got a lot of pace on the counter and in wide areas.

“But I thought we were very good at times.

“Probably the only negative is that I think on the balance of play and the areas that we got into, again we should make it a little bit more comfortable for oursleves.

“It was probably a little bit disappointing to go in at 1-1 having had I think the better of the first half and the better of what are the pivotal areas.”

Hughton praised the “outstanding” March and was also pleased with hard-working Tomer Hemed up front.
