Chris Hughton believes his Albion side showed some valuable qualities in beating Sevilla.

And their work without the ball was high on the ball.

The Seagulls won 1-0 in their final friendly as Tomer Hemd won and converted a penalty.

Hughton said: "Of course it's always good to get that win in the last game before the season.

"We were up against very, very good opposition.

"I know they have had two games in three days and they changed the team around a little bit.

"But they showed in lots of phases of the game the quality they have got.

"We had to be very resilient, we had to defend very well.

"Stocky (David Stockdale) had to make a few saves.

"Probably that is what we expected.

"These are a top, top team so I think to get the victory is pleasing. There were some good aspects."

Hughton reported no injuries and revealed Adrian Colunga missed the game because of illness.
