Chris Jordan held his nerve to lead Sussex to a dramatic one-wicket victory over Warwickshire at Hove.
Jordan made an unbeaten 56 as Sussex on his first Championship appearance of the season as Sussex chased down a target of 190 before tea on the third day.
The England international sealed the win in style as he launched Boyd Rankin for six straight down the ground.
Warwickshire looked strong favourites when they reduced Sussex to 45-5 shortly after lunch before Ben Brown (53) and Jordan engineered a remarkable fightback on a difficult wicket.
The pair put on 55 for the seventh wicket after Brown had added 53 with Craig Cachopa (20) to give Sussex hope.
Brown holed out to midwicket off Rankin who set up a grandstand finish by going on to dismiss Steve Magoffin and Ollie Robinson in the space of three balls.
Rankin should also have claimed the wicket of Jordan when he was on 44 but Keith Barker put down a chance at long-on.
Earlier, Jordan had taken two wickets as Warwickshire were dismissed for 200 having resumed on 180-7 overnight.
