Albion manager Sami Hyypia believes Kazenga LuaLua has been a complete performer since he took command.

LuaLua has started nine of the last 11 matches under the Finn, scoring twice.

The left-winger capped an outstanding display in a more central role with an equaliser in Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Norwich.

Previous bosses Gus Poyet and Oscar Garcia used LuaLua more sparingly, particularly away from the Amex.

They had reservations about the former Newcastle flyer’s contribution defensively.

Hyypia, pictured, told The Argus: “I’m not aware of that. I think Kaz’s work from the beginning of pre-season has been very concentrated, working in both directions as well.

“He’s done well this season. I wasn’t aware that he wasn’t doing the right things away. I haven’t noticed that in our games.

“I think it’s very important for all the players to have the consistency. It really doesn’t matter if it as at home or away.

“I personally liked it when the stadium was full. It didn’t really matter if the crowd were for me or against me.

“You blocked the atmosphere anyway. You don’t notice it that much if you concentrate on your task.”
