Albion's hopes of a glamour cup tie went for a Burton tonight.
The Seagulls will visit League Two outfit Burton Albion in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
It will be the first meeting between the two teams but they have one notable link.
Albion signed legendary striker Peter Ward, left, from Burton for about £4,000 in 1975.
The tie will take place at the Pirelli Stadium in the week beginning September 22.
Burton caused an upset tonight, beating QPR 1-0 thanks to a late free-kick from Adam McGurk.
They remain unbeaten so far this season.
