TO some of us it might seem like only yesterday, but this picture of the Brighton Aquarium junction dates from 1987.

With a bird’s eye view of the roundabout location, it picks out the street furniture and cars of the time. In some ways it looks very similar to today – in other ways very different.

One piece of Brighton’s furniture that has gone through some change is the statue of Olympian Steve Ovett. Once seen overlooking a bordering road around Preston Park, it was taken by metal thieves some years ago.

Just days before London 2012, a replacement statue was unveiled on Brighton seafront, not far from our aerial shot of the aquarium.

Turning back the clock a bit further, we’re interested to know if you’re one of the women pictured here as part of a royal visit to Brighton by the then-Princess Elizabeth either shortly before or during the Second World War.
