One week after my last blog, we are no nearer to solving the insecurity at the club.

It isn't an easy time to be a fan of Lewes FC and with recent successes it's not been easy to take.

However, while things off the pitch aren't great, we had some improvement on it. The Burton game will be looked back on with mixed views, but for me we battled well, worked really hard but unfortunately Burton went away with a 1-0 victory. Sorry did I say Burton, I meant the referee.

Anyone who stands near me will tell you I, more often than not, defend the referee. Being qualified I tend to see more why they are giving the decisions, but there is no getting away from this one. Morris should have been in Beijing in place of Tom Daley - his diving would have got 100% marks for sure.

The penalty was tucked away and that was pretty much it. I'll admit Burton should have scored two more, and without Chris Breach they would, but it annoys me when it ends up being the ref's decision that wins a game. Ah well, as they say, that's football.

Midweek saw a trip to Torquay and the scoreline suggested it was early season form re-surfacing. Reports from the game however suggest we did ok and just weren't prepared to shoot. Glad to see Scott Taylor score, that'll keep me off his back for another 10 minutes next match!!

Dave Wheeler got a start in that game and Kevin Keehan has since said he would have been given his first start earlier if it wasn't for the England Schoolboy trials he had been involved in (which by all accounts he has done well in!).

It meant however he missed the under 18s FA Youth Cup game tonight which they won 3-0 to set up a tie with Premiership surprise package Hull's youth side. This is the furthest they have ever got and praise should be given to players and coaches alike for a great achievement.

Anyway, regardless of everything that's going on (and there's a hell'uva lot!) we must carry on. Saturday brings Grays who we only played a short while ago.

We got a 0-0 draw at their place but had enough of the game to win. Fingers crossed we can do a full job this time.

We are certainly capable of beating them, I just hope fans can raise the spirits of the players and press on.
