Finally, after all these patient weeks of waiting, I get a win to report on! It had been 11 games with 0 wins, not the best start, but when that full time whistle went, every fan was delighted!

And what a scalp! Oxford are not as big as they were and if rumours are to be believed they are in financial problems. That doesn't take anything away from Lewes though as we deserved the win.

In recent weeks we've been the ones on the end of late comebacks/winners. This time it was our turn. Michael Standing drew us level with the kind of chance you'd never expect to get when you're luck is out, perhaps our luck has turned!

Well, it was a good finish I guess, an opportunistic stab that rolled right next to the keeper. It was one of those the 'keeper is unsure whether to go with his hand or his leg but by the time Turley made his mind up we were level!

Sam Gargan made an instant impact away at Histon last week, opening his account with a debut goal, one that so nearly gave us that win! Well, it was the same man who scored here, but this time it was a winner. He popped up at the back post to connect with a Michael Standing corner and send us fans into a frenzy, none more than Lee 'Spooky', who insisted on jumping on top of everyone!

Somehow (all right, as a referee I know exactly how!) the referee managed to find five agonising minutes at the end of the game but we survived with very few heart-stopping moments and the sheer delight on the players’ faces was clear to see, none more so than Ollie Rowland who has taken some flak this week for some indifferent form.

Those who were part of the fans’ team last week are sure (and I'd agree) that it was our win that inspired Kev and the lads. They had to step up and perform, they couldn't have us lot win more games than them! It's true, honest.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now, I know you're all getting bored. Grays Saturday, two wins in two? Gargan hat-trick? Stranger things have happened.
