Plans to transform a restaurant into an office and flat have been submitted.

The proposals for Asian Village in Littlehampton Road, Worthing, are for parts of the restaurant area to be used as an office space and the rest to be converted into a two-bed flat, which would include one ensuite bedroom.

The plans submitted to Adur and Worthing Councils also suggest demolishing the storage room to the rear of the building and replacing it with a two-storey, one-bedroom home.

The Argus: The house, which could replace the storage building, would have its own garden

This would have its own patio garden with plants and flowers put in to "make the area much better".

There will also be cycle storage space for residents of the two new homes to use, however there will be no parking facilities.

The Argus: A restaurant has been at the site for over a decade

A spokesman for Wang Dao Architecture Ltd said: "The proposal would provide quality homes for the residents while helping the council to achieve the new house target."

A decision on whether to approve the plans is set to be made by June 27.

The existing flats above the restaurant would not be amended or changed if the plans are approved.
