Seven Insulate Britain protesters accused of blocking a major port will stand trial next month.
The seven activists were among 38 people arrested for obstructing the public highway at Dover Port.
Some protesters climbed onto lorries in that incident on September 25, 2021.
The members appeared via video link at Lewes Crown Court sitting in Brighton Magistrates’ this morning.
Ian Bates, Philipa Clarke, Barry Mitchell, Daniel Shaw, Victoria Lindsell, Stephanie Aylett and Joshua Smith all deny causing a nuisance to the public by obstructing the highway.
A trial date was set for May 7 which is expected to last two to three weeks.

It will be in the same courtroom.
Judge Jeremy Gold KC said: “I do not have concerns about defendants sharing their views on climate change which in many respects worries us all.”
Insulate Britain wants the government to commit to providing insulation for 29 million homes in an effort to curb fossil fuel use and fight global warming.
