A spokesman for the farm said: "In light of a kitchen fire, our café will be closed until further notice.
"Fortunately, all staff and customers are safe, but our kitchen requires attention before we can resume operations.
"Our goal is to return to our regular service, but we're unable to provide a timeline at present."
Other farm facilities such as the shop, fishery, accommodation and camping fields remain open and operating as usual.
A spokesman for the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called on April 12 at 7.25pm to reports of a fire in a café in Powdermill Lane, Battle.
"This was a small fire in a kitchen. Firefighters used breathing apparatus and one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.
"Crews then used a positive-pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property.
"The fire was accidental and there were no casualties reported."
It is not yet confirmed when the café may reopen.
