Police have reported high levels of theft from charity clothing banks.

Adur and Worthing Police said items have been taken from Salvation Army donation bins across Lancing, Shoreham and Worthing..

They are now asking anyone who sees clothes being stolen to report it to police.

A spokesman for Adur and Worthing Police said: "The Salvation Army has reported that they have been experiencing high levels of theft from their charity clothing banks in Lancing and Shoreham and Worthing areas.

"Please report anyone attempting to empty the banks who are not driving a liveried vehicle or carrying ID."
