The world's smallest car will be on display today alongside its driver - who toured the length of the country in the 1.3 metre long vehicle.

Alex Orchin is taking his Peel P50 car to the Brighton Toy and Model Museum for all to see and he will be telling people about his adventures in the tiny automobile.

He will be there from noon today and the P50 will be on display at the Trafalgar Street museum throughout the summer.

It comes three years after Alex drove the car from John O'Groats to Land's End in 21 days, arriving in Cornwall on December 13, 2021.

Museum manager Jan Etches said: "We often describe the museum collection as real life made miniature.

"We are very excited to have Alex’s P50 on display in the museum from Easter through to the end of the summer school holidays.

"This will be a fabulous attraction giving people the only opportunity to see a Peel P50."

The Peel P50 was listed in the 2010 Guinness World Records as the smallest production car ever made, measuring 1.3 metres long, 97cm high and 94cm wide and with an average speed of just 23 miles per hour.
