A new sculpture has been erected on the seafront.
Flight Of The Langoustines is now in place on the Hove plinth, replacing the previous installation Constellation which was removed earlier this week.
The new artwork, depicting white brass figures jumping through a metal grate, is only the second installation to grace the plinth since the art project began in 2018.
Pierre Diamantopoulo, who created it, said: “My work is resolutely restive and energetic, moved by a sense of the uncertain and the bizarre; always tinged with wry humour and never afraid to be elegant or beautiful.”
He described the work as “an absurdist response to a profound sense of unrest” with faceless men diving through a metal structure.
The new sculpture was installed yesterday. Constellation, which is by Jonathan Wright, will now be moved to its own plinth near Hove Museum.

Flight Of The Langoustines will be officially unveiled on Sunday by Mayor of Brighton and Hove Jackie O’Quinn.
