A 16-year-old boy appeared in court accused of murdering a 17-year-old boy at a marquee party.

Charlie Cosser, also known as “Cheeks”, died in hospital days after being stabbed at the event in Marches Lane in Warnham on Sunday, July 23.

Another teenager, from Chessington, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of killing Charlie. His family say they have been left “destroyed” by the loss.

Defending, Kevin Light told the court the teenager was of previous good character and had “drunk a considerable amount” and could not remember certain events of the evening.
