A security guard who drove with a young passenger while eleven times the legal limit for cocaine in his body is one of several drug drivers named and shamed by police.

Multiple drivers have been named and shamed after a police crackdown on drunk and drug drivers.

Now, some of those recently convicted have been revealed.

Joe Roberts

Joe Roberts, 35, tested positive for cocaine after police stopped his Volkswagen without an MOT in Hailsham last year.

Roberts, of Hedley Way in Hailsham, also had a young passenger in his car at the time of the stop.

The security employee admitted drug driving and driving without valid insurance after he was found with 580mcg of cocaine per litre of blood in his body. The legal limit is 50mcg.

Gemma Collett

Gemma Collett, 41, failed to stop for police in a car linked to an attempted burglary in Polegate.

After a police chase on Christmas Eve, Collett tested positive for cannabis by the side of the road but refused to provide a blood sample in custody.

Collett, unemployed, of Salehurst Road in Eastbourne, admitted failing to stop and failing to provide a specimen as well as attempted burglary and theft from a shop. She was disqualified from driving for a year and ordered to pay over £400.

Michael Baker

Michael Baker’s Ford Focus was stopped in Colonnade Gardens in Eastbourne where he was found with cocaine in the vehicle.

The unemployed 35-year-old admitted drug driving and possession of the Class A drug and was disqualified from driving for a year.

Baker, of Bourne Street in Eastbourne, was over six times the legal limit for cocaine and also paid over £400 for his crimes.

Nicole Farmiloe-France

Nicole Farmiloe France was caught behind the wheel of a Range Rover on the A23 with nearly ten times the legal limit of cocaine in her body.

The unemployed 50-year-old from Sutton was disqualified for three years.

Following the stop in Handcross on December 30, she was also ordered to complete rehabilitation activities.

Ricky Heather

Former window fitter Ricky Heather, 26, was stopped in Worthing with only one brake light working.

After smelling cannabis coming from the car, Heather was found to have five times the legal limit of cannabis in his body.

Heather, of Malthouse Way in Durrington, admitted drug driving and was disqualified for a year and ordered to pay over £500.

Sussex Police Roads Policing Unit Superintendent Rachel Glenton said: “Our officers are determined to catch offenders on our roads before they cause serious harm to themselves or other road users.

“We patrol the county’s roads 24/7, every day of the year, and these results show that while we can’t be everywhere, we could be anywhere.”

A total of 233 motorists were arrested as part of Operation Limit in Sussex in December.
