A man has been fined after he was caught exceeding the speed limit on the A259.  

Luke Reeves was driving a Peugeot when he was caught going over the 30mph speed limit by an automatic camera device on the A259 in Hastings.

The 35-year-old was driving on the restricted A259 Marina on November 4 last year when he broke section 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Reeves, of Sunningdale Close, Hailsham was dealt with under the single justice procedure at Crawley Magistrates' Court on April 24 this year.

He was fined £220 and ordered to pay an £88 surcharge to fund victim services.

Reeves was also required to pay costs of £90 and was given three points on his driving licence.
