A man walked out of a homewares shop with a cash box containing £100.
Police have now released CCTV images of the suspect.
The till float, which contained approximately £100 in cash, was stolen from the counter of Steamer Trading Cookshop, in South Street Chichester, at about 3pm on Saturday.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s of 40s, about 5' 7”, of medium build, with short brown hair and stubble. He was wearing a blue or grey shirt, dark coloured jeans and white trainers.
