VANDALS have smashed up a walkway on the largest municipal rock garden in the country.
Mindless vandals have taken three attempts to break the bridge in the Preston Park Rock Garden, Brighton.
The first section was broken on Thursday August 11, more damage was inflicted over the weekend and a final act of destruction carried out on Tuesday night.
Volunteers who look after the garden also received reports of a large number of youths on top of the chalet roof trying to set fire to it.
The Rockery was landscaped by Captain B Maclaren in 1935 and is the largest municipal rock garden in the UK.
