A TEENAGE cyclist was left with serious injuries after being knocked down by a car which failed to stop.
The hit-and-run involving a motorist and a cyclist happened in Vancouver Road, close to the junction with Montreal Way, Durrington at 9.40pm on Monday (May 2).
The victim, a 15-year-old local girl, was riding her pedal cycle when a white car - believed to be a Volkswagen Golf - crashed into her.
She sustained serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the driver is asked to contact Sussex Police by email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting serial 1424 of May 2.
