One person has been left with "potentially life threatening" injuries after collision on the A26 at Beddingham.
Emergency services were called to the A26 at Beddingham shortly after 11am to a serious collision.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "One person has been taken to hospital with serious, potentially life threatening injuries.
"The A26 has been closed in both directions while emergency services investigate and are on scene.
"Motorists are asked to avoid the area."
