A HOUSING and homelessness charity has welcomed a new board member with peerless “experience and reputation” in housing.
Brighton Housing Trust has added former Brighton and Hove City Council leader, mayor and housing committee chairman Bill Randall to its board.
Mr Randall will bring more than 40 years’ work in housing, as a journalist, board member and activist to the role including his role as editor of Inside Housing and former chairman of Shelter’s Housing Aid Trust.
The former Green councillor said his new job was a “privilege.” and said he would use the opportunity to make a contribution towards meeting the twin challenges of ending homelessness and providing an adequate supply of decent and affordable homes in Brighton and Hove
