MUSIC lovers arrived in the sun for the first day of the Love Supreme music festival.

The crowds gathered at the jazz festival in buoyant mood and were ready to pitch their tents ahead of some fantastic acts in this year's line up.

The festival at Glynde Place, near Lewes, ends on Sunday night.

Today they will enjoy the likes of Chaka Khan, X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson and Neneh Cherry. On Sunday the singer Van Morrison is the headline act, with fans hoping he will play hits like Brown Eyed Girl and Moondance.

He is also likely to play songs from his latest album, Duets: Reworking The Catalogue.

Also appearing on Sunday are Candi Staton and Lisa Stansfield.

The site also includes a fairground and a big top tent stage.

The festival is held in the grounds of the Elizabethan country house with areas for boutique camping, family camping and space for campervans.
