A 20-YEAR-OLD man was attacked as he walked home with a friend after an evening out.
The victim was knocked unconscious and his jaw was broken in several places.
A white man is suspected of being responsible for the attack in College Lane, Chichester, on Saturday May 16, at 1.30am.
The suspect is described as aged 20-30, 5'4", of stocky build and with short, dark hair and dark clothing.
Detective Constable Amanda Gamlin, of Chichester CID, said: "We would like to talk to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident or seen a small, dark coloured car being driven erratically."
