A cannabis factory with more than 100 plants was discovered in an unlocked property.
The plants, estimated to be worth more than £10,000, were found in a property in Old London Road, Hastings, at about 5.50pm on Wednesday.
In total there were 105 cannabis plants that were almost at maturity. The plants and set up was dismantled and destroyed.
No arrests have yet been made. Inspector Dan Russell, of the Hastings Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "The estimated street value of a fully matured crop of this number of plants could be in excess of £10,000. This is a pleasing result in that this cannabis factory was discovered and the contents destroyed before the product was ready to be sold on the street."
Anyone suspecting that cannabis is being grown in a nearby property is asked to email information to 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101. Alternatively they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.
