Fire crews were called after the wall of a house collapsed into a neighbouring property.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene in Amberley Drive, Hove, to reports one of the gable walls of the building had collapsed.
Firefighters called in the building control team from Brighton and Hove City Council to help secure the property just before 6.20pm yesterday.
The occupants of the property were evacuated and have been temporarily rehoused.
