A WOMAN was stabbed multiple times by a man believed to be her partner but managed to escape on a waiting bus.
Just after midnight the 19-year-old was attacked at her property in Meadowview, Brighton, receiving multiple stab wounds but she managed to climb aboard a waiting bus nearby and find help.
A neighbour reported seeing someone leave the address after the attack took place and talking towards Coombe Road.
Officers from Sussex Police are hunting for a 30-year-old black man believed to be wearing dark jeans, a black jumper and a black baseball cap.
A police spokeman said his clothing is likely to be bloodstained.
The victim is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
