Woman airlifted to hospital with serious head injury after A27 lorry smash in Chichester
Emergency services are dealing with a collision between a lorry and a car on the A27 at Terminus Road, Chichester, at 1.05pm today.
The lorry has jack knifed blocking the road at the Fishbourne roundabout eastbound. The woman driver of the car is being freed from the vehicle and is believed to have suffered a serious head injury. The air ambulance has landed to take her to hospital.
The road is closed eastbound but open westbound. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
