Sea and river search launched
A major search was launched following reports someone had fallen into a river.
The RNLI was joined by helicopters from Sussex Police and the Coastguard to search the River Arun and the coast at Littlehampton.
The alarm was raised at about 9pm last night and the search was carried out in dark and cold conditions.
However nobody was discovered in the water and crwes were eventually stood down.
