Two fans were arrested for racist chanting and throwing a smoke bomb onto the pitch during Albion's 4-3 win over Birmingham this afternoon (Saturday).

The Seagulls collected a valuable three points against the Midlands side.

But Sussex Police's Chief Inspector Simon Nelson tweeted:

Chief Inspector Nelson told The Argus the smoke bomb was launched by an away supporter.

The racist chanting was by a suspected Albion fan.

UPDATE on Sunday February 22: Sussex Police say the arrest made yesterday for racist chanting was in connection with a previous Albion game.
