Andrew Neil Johnstone, 47, of Sele Gardens, Upper Beeding, Steyning, was convicted in his absence of speeding in a Ford on the A2037 at Small Dole, a 30mph zone, on March 5 this year. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Gary John Buckman, 44, of Monks Walk, Upper Beeding, pleaded guilty to stealing £25.18 worth of food from Nisa Stores with another person. Ordered to pay £12.59 compensation.

Matthew Michael Jago, 28, of West End Lane, Henfield, was convicted in his absence of keeping an untaxed Ford Mondeo on the road. Fined £400 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £73.34 and costs of £90.

Gillian Goddard, 55, of Parsonage Road, Henfield, pleaded guilty to harassment and failing to answer bail. Also admitted committing the offence while under a conditional discharge. Given a restraining order, fined £265 plus £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Ben Leslie MacQuire, 30, of Rowan Close, Pulborough, pleaded guilty to causing £320 worth of damage to a television at a property in Meadowside, Storrington. He wasgiven a 12 month conditional discharge, ordered to pay compensation of £350, a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £50.

Natasha Massie, 18, of London Road, Pulborough, pleaded guillty to two counts of assault. Given a 24-month conditional discharge. Ordered to pay £120 compensation, £115 costs and £15 victim surcharge.
