TRAINS will be delayed until at least 4pm due to a signalling problem at Gatwick Airport.

Services are unable to pass through the station will engineers are on site trying to resolve the problem which occurred at 11.35am.

The problem is affecting Southern, Gatwick Express, First Great Western and Thameslink trains and journeys between Haywards Heath, Horsham, Gatwick Airport and London Victoria, as well as between Gatwick Airport and Reading and Brighton and Bedford.

Replacement buses are running between Three Bridges and Redhill and there are currently delays of up to 45 minutes on trains with short notice alterations and cancellations expected to occur.

Alternative routes where tickets will be accepted are below:

First Great passengers may use Southern services between Redhill and Gatwick Airport and local buses between Crawley and Redhill.

Southern passengers may use First Great Western between Redhill and Dorking and London Buses between Redhill and Croydon and Metro buses between Crawley and Redhill / East Grinstead.

Thameslink passengers may use Southern and Gatwick Express via any reasonable route.
