Three youngsters are fighting for their lives following a late-night crash.

Two men aged 19 and 22 and an 18-year-old woman, all from Brighton, have all suffered life-threatening injuries after a taxi and car collided at Race Hill, Brighton, in this early hours of this morning.

The three are thought to be Alex Jackson, Chantelle Marriott and Scott Hammond who all work together in Brighton's Poundstretcher store in London Road.

The three were all passengers in a blue BMW 318L which collided with a blue and white Skoda taxi crashed at just after midnight this morning.

The 29-year-old driver of the BMW, from Peacehaven, has also suffered serious injuries with all four taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.

The 26-year-old man from Brighton driving the Skoda suffered minor injuries.

Sussex Police officers are now trying to trace any witnesses who saw the collision or who saw either of the vehicles being driven in the minutes beforehand.
