A man was left with these horrific injuries after being set upon by a gang of youths.

This 42-year old Hove man suffered shocking facial injuries and bruising to his upper body after being punched and kicked to the crowd in what police are describing as “a nasty and cowardly attack”.

The man was attacked outside Uncle Sam's in Queens Parade, Hangleton Road, just before 4am on Saturday as he was walking home.

The victim was attacked by up to ten youths who savagely beat him before taking his wallet and phone.

Sussex Police are now appealing for help in finding the gang who are all described as white and in their late teens.

Detective Sergeant Simon Dunn said; "This was a nasty and cowardly attack and the victim is badly shaken by his ordeal.

"We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area and who may have witnessed the attack.”
