Two people have died following a crash with a pick-up truck.
A male driver and his female passenger were in a silver Toyota Avensis when it was involved in a crash with a white Ford Ranger pick-up at about 4.40pm yesterday on the A280 Long Furlong at Patching, near Worthing.
The 69-year-old man and 70-year-old woman, both from Littlehampton, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, an 18-year-old man from Henfield, suffered a broken arm and was taken to Worthing Hospital.
The A280 was closed in both directions for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Anyone who saw what happened is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting Operation Clapham.
