POLICE scoured Brighton for a missing man with a helicopter early this morning. 2/10
Residents took to Twitter expressing concern as they heard the police helicopter overhead between 1am and 1.30am, tweeting Sussex Police to ask what was happening.
There was no response from the account at the time.
But this morning a Sussex Police spokesman told The Argus: "There is some concern for the welfare of a Brighton man in his early fifties who has not been seen at his home since yesterday evening.
"As part of our enquiries a police helicopter checked some open areas in the early hours of this morning,
"The matter is not being treated as suspicious but our enquiries are continuing."
At 10am Sussex Police said the missing man has been found by officers and is safe.
