TWO prisoners have run away from Ford open prison since last Friday - bringing the total now on the run to 82.

Burglar Greg Disbrey, 27, absconded from the jail near Arundel, West Sussex, on Monday while Lucas Lamb, convicted of grievous bodily harm, walked out on Friday.

Police are appealing for help in tracking down both criminals, and ask the public to call 999 if either is seen.

Disbrey was convicted of burglary and handling stolen goods in London in August 2012 and was serving a three-and-a-half year sentence.

He is described as white, 5ft 7in, of medium build, with cropped, light brown hair and blue eyes.

He has a pierced left eyebrow, two large moles behind his right ear and a tattoo of a cross on his right forearm.

He speaks with a London accent, and has links to Edgware, north London, and Devon.

Lamb, 31, was convicted of GBH with intent in Hailsham in October 2012.

He is described as white, 5ft 8in, thin with short brown hair and blue eyes with a tattoo on his lower neck which says Cleo.

Lamb, who has a scar above his right eye, has links to the Hailsham and Eastbourne areas.

Last November Sussex Police set up a dedicated team to track down Ford absconders, one of whom has been missing since the early 1960s.

The Government is bringing in reforms to make it more difficult for prisoners to run away.
