A FAMILY business has won a top national award.
Sussex Beds, which is based in Hailsham, has been named National Bed Retailer of the Year Award 2016/2017.
Two years ago the company was struggling and in serious danger of disappearing from the High Street.
Now it has plans to expand and currently has seven stores across Sussex.
Managing director Steve Pickering said he is proud to receive the accolade on behalf of his team.
He said: “Only two years ago the company was in serious danger of disappearing from the high street forever and here we are secure and actively planning our expansion, none of this would have been possible without the tireless efforts and support of all the team.”
Sussex Beds was established by founders John and Sandra Pickering in 1981, starting in Hastings.
